ABOUT
Hi, I'm Rui an illustrator born and raised in Sydney, Australia.

Most of my time spent is in character design and composition. I like to push illustrations to the next step whether its in terms of detail, use of colour or design.
I have Graduated with a Bachelors in Game Design. My course focused mainly on the creative side of the industry, dealing with illustration, storyboarding, concept art and overall design.

Clients i have worked for include Giant Panda King, Empire Strips Back, Penthouse magazine, Westfield Bondi and various smaller companies.
I have always had a passion for comic books, the use of composition and images to create a story is fascinating to me, which also coincides with my love for cinematography in film and TV. Roger Deakins being one of my favourites, especially for Blade runner 2049.
I am interested in seeking opportunities to work in the industry through either studio work or agency work.
